Join the 2024 Sepsis Alliance AMR Conference

We are pleased to announce our support for the upcoming Sepsis Alliance AMR Conference, a pivotal event in the ongoing fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and sepsis. Mark your calendars for April 10 and 11 from 10:30 am to 4:50 pm Eastern Time.

The Sepsis Alliance AMR Conference 2024 is designed to encourage discussion on innovative approaches and practical solutions to combat AMR in healthcare settings. It will provide a unique platform for healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, and the public to share knowledge, strategies, and experiences in managing sepsis and mitigating the threat of AMR.

Only a few policymakers know that the IHME study estimates that every year 13.6 million children and adults die due to sepsis as the final common pathway to deaths from many infectious diseases and 4.95 million out of 13.6 million sepsis-related deaths are associated or directly attributable to AMR.

Sepsis treatment outcomes and the potential of averting annually over 13 million deaths are directly affected by AMR. As more pathogens become resistant to antimicrobials, more people are at risk for infections that can progress to sepsis.

Therefore we encourage dialogue and decision-making for synergizing policies and actions for AMR and sepsis.

The escalating challenge of AMR not only complicates the treatment of infections but also increases the risk of sepsis, leading to more severe health outcomes. This event emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, continuous innovation, and educational outreach in navigating the complexities of AMR and sepsis prevention and care.

We congratulate Thomas Heyman and his team on this important event and look forward to a successful event.
